European Commission opens call for evidence ahead of November education package

Schools, teachers, education authorities, researchers, civil society groups and members of the public can submit views on three main areas of a new EU education package due in November.

The European Commission launched a call for evidence on July 28 to prepare a new education package, which it said will be presented in November, according to the Commission.

The consultation covers three main areas and is open to schools, teachers and trainers, education authorities, researchers, civil society organizations and members of the public, the Commission said. Contributors may also submit national legislation and policy examples as well as successful practices from their own systems.

Among the elements to be included in the package is an EU teachers agenda aimed at making the teaching and training professions more attractive, according to the Commission.
